About the Recipe

If you are looking for an easy way to make your tofu packed full of flavour and with a lovely crispy, chewy texture on the outside then take a look at our orange tofu recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu

  • flour

  • neutral oil

  • ginger and garlic powder

  • salt and pepper to taste, Chili flakes if desired

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp corn starch or more flour

  • 1 tsp honey or agave

  • 4 tbsp orange juice and some orange zests

  • sesame seeds to dress

Preparation

Press the tofu with paper towel to get the moisture out. Pad dry.

Then toss in flour and make sure it’s well covered. Fry on medium

heat until crispy. Prepare the sauce: combine the spices, zests

corn starch, honey and soy sauce together. lower the heat and

simmer the sauce until it thickens. If needed add some water and

at the end toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot or cold over rice or

lettuce.
