Porridge is the perfect energy fuelled, healthy way to start your day. This delicious recipe with added natural sweetness from apples and sultanas makes it easy to choose a healthy option

Ingredientes

  • Porridge Oats. Choose gluten-free if necessary.Ā 

  • Almond Milk. You can use any kind of plant-based milk you like. Coconut, oat or cashew will all be great.Ā 

  • Cinnamon & nutmeg

  • Chia Seeds. These add tons of healthy fats and fibre, plus they make your oatmeal extra creamy.Ā 

  • Apples. Any kind of apple will work. Tart apples will be less sweet.Ā 

  • Agave Syrup. For that ultra-caramelized flavour. You could also use honey if you're not vegan.Ā 

  • Nuts. Use walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts or your favourite kind!


Step 1


Add Porridge oats, chia seed and plant milk to a pan with the cinnamon and nutmeg and a tablespoon of agave syrup and start to simmer on a low heat



Step 2


Peel and then grate your apple. I like to use sweet red apples for that added sweetness. Add your grated apple into the mix and allow them to stew. If you see the porridge getting too thick add a little more plant milk


Step 3


Caramelise thin sliced pieces of apple with coconut oil and brown sugar in a pan. Add this to the finished porridge with nuts and seeds of your choice
